Haircut 100

Haircut 100 was a pop rock-influenced band, formed in 1980 by Nick Heyward.

They originally formed in 1980 with Nick Heyward (Vocals, Guitar,) Les Nemes (Bass,) Tim Jenkins (Guitar,) and Rob Stroud (drums.) Phil Smith and Mark Fox Joined the band on Saxaphone and Percussion when the band signed to Arista records.

Haircut 100 appeared as pop. They were quickly successful: Their first single, "Favorite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)" reached number four in the UK charts, Followed by "Love Plus One", Which reached number three and broke America's Top 40.

Haircut 100 seemed poised for stardom, And then Heyward left the band to pursue a solo career. Percussionist Marc Fox took over Heyward's vocal duties. In 1984 the band released the album Paint and Paint, then broke up soon after.
